We’re hiring: Senior Software Engineer
Join Acme Tech — an engineering-first, remote-friendly team building developer tools and cloud services. We’re looking for a senior engineer to own systems, mentor teammates, and help shape our product direction.

At Acme Tech we build developer-focused cloud products used by teams around the world. As we scale, we need senior engineers who can design reliable, maintainable systems and help grow the engineering discipline across the company. This role is an opportunity to influence architecture, improve developer experience, and mentor other engineers.
A typical day (what you’ll do)
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs (REST & GraphQL).
- Lead technical design reviews and take ownership of end-to-end features.
- Improve observability, testing, and CI/CD for higher reliability.
- Mentor mid and junior engineers through pairing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to ship high-quality experiences.
Tech stack & environment
We use a mix of Node.js (TypeScript), Go, and Python for services; Postgres and Redis for storage and caching; Kubernetes for orchestration; and modern CI/CD pipelines. You’ll have influence over tooling choices and an emphasis on pragmatic, testable solutions.
Who we’re looking for
We want engineers who combine strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset:
- 5+ years building production web services or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching, and background processing.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration.
- Excellent communication and a growth-oriented approach to mentorship.
